The Rachel Zegler, 24, shared a five-photo Instagram post on Thursday, Jan. 1, that quickly drew attention. One image showed a screenshot of a Google search reading, “how to fumble a baddie.” Another featured an illustration by artist Ben Lenovitz of a woman walking a dog and smoking a cigarette, with the words: “I’ll never get a boyfriend.”
Alongside the images, Zegler simply wrote, “hello twenty-twenty-six,” leaving fans to read between the lines.
The post comes amid rumors that Zegler may have split from her boyfriend, Nathan Louis-Fernand. The actress and the dancer starred together in the West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita in 2025. They went Instagram official with their relationship in July and were last seen together publicly at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 27 in New York City.
However, photos of Louis-Fernand that Zegler previously shared on her Instagram appear to have been deleted. She also no longer seems to follow him on Instagram, while he still follows her.
Zegler was first linked to Louis-Fernand in early July 2025, when the two were spotted getting close at a Sabrina Carpenter concert in London during their run in Evita. At the time, a source said they had an “instant connection.” In August, Zegler publicly praised him on Instagram Stories, calling him “the best of the best” and gushing about his performances in the show.
Before dating Louis-Fernand, Zegler was in a long-term relationship with actor Josh Andrés Rivera, her costar in West Side Story and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. They dated from 2021 until late 2024.
Neither Zegler nor Louis-Fernand has commented on the current status of their relationship. For now, fans are left to speculate based on social media clues.
Zegler is keeping busy professionally. Her upcoming projects include the film She Gets It from Me, in which she stars alongside Marisa Tomei.
