The actress shared the news in an Instagram post on Saturday, explaining that she won’t be able to attend the ’90s After Dark Party scheduled for Sunday night, Dec. 28. The event was set to be co-hosted with her former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Brian Austin Green.
“Hey loves, this hurts to share, but I need to be honest with you,” Spelling wrote. “I’m sick and have to postpone our After Dark event this Sunday night in Las Vegas.”
She added that she had been eagerly counting down the days to meet fans and felt heartbroken about the delay. “Right now, I have to listen to my body and choose my health,” she said, thanking fans for their understanding and promising that a new date will be announced soon.
Spelling, 52, did not reveal what illness she is dealing with.
The Las Vegas event was billed as a high-energy celebration of 1990s pop culture. According to the event description, fans were invited to relive the decade with music, surprise moments and appearances by Spelling and Green, along with a performance by ’90s R&B group Color Me Badd.
The postponement comes shortly after Spelling shared holiday photos with her children — Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn and Beau. Her ex-husband, Dean McDermott, was not included in the pictures. The former couple finalized their divorce in November, two years after announcing their split.
In recent years, Spelling has been open about ongoing health struggles. In 2023, she spoke publicly about toxic mold in her family’s rental home, saying it made her and her children seriously ill and forced them to move out.
For now, Spelling says her priority is recovery — and she hopes to reunite with fans for the ’90s-themed celebration very soon.
