Melanie Hamrick Says She Was ‘Physically Attacked’ During Night Out in London

Melanie Hamrick has revealed she was “physically attacked” while out in London, saying the frightening incident left her shaken and heartbroken.

The 38-year-old choreographer shared the news on Instagram, explaining that she was grabbed from behind while visiting Annabel's, a well-known private members’ club in Mayfair. The attack is believed to have been an opportunistic mugging attempt.

“This is incredibly hard to share, but I was physically attacked at Annabel’s Mayfair tonight,” she wrote. “I’m so thankful to my friends for protecting me. Two people grabbed me from behind, and thank God for good people who stepped in to help me.”

Hamrick added that she was left deeply upset by what happened. “I’m shaken, sad and heartbroken that people can treat each other this way,” she said.

It’s not believed that her fiancé, Mick Jagger, was with her at the time. The Rolling Stones legend, 82, has been in a relationship with Hamrick since 2014.

The couple first met while touring Japan more than a decade ago. They welcomed their son, Devereaux Octavian Basil Jagger, in 2016. Though they have been engaged for several years, Hamrick has previously suggested they are in no rush to marry.

“We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything,” she told Paris Match in an earlier interview. Speaking to Page Six, she also addressed their 44-year age gap, saying: “He’s younger than me. He’s amazing, really is.”

Despite their high-profile status, Hamrick and Jagger tend to keep their private life out of the spotlight, though they are occasionally seen attending public events together.

No further details about the attack or any arrests have been shared.
