During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan told guest Cheryl Hines that the meeting was floated years ago through theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss.
According to Rogan, Krauss had exchanged emails with Epstein back in 2017, and those messages later surfaced in the so-called “Epstein Files.” In one of the emails, Epstein reportedly said he had listened to Rogan’s interview with Krauss and found the podcast host “funny.” He then asked Krauss to arrange an introduction.
Rogan made it clear that he had zero interest.
“I told him, ‘Btch, are you high?’” Rogan recalled, describing his blunt response to Krauss when the idea was brought up. “Like, what the f** are you talking about?”
Rogan explained that even at the time, Epstein’s criminal past was already public knowledge. The financier had pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting a minor for prostitution in Florida — a conviction that sparked national controversy over the lenient plea deal he received.
After doing a quick search and reading about the case, Rogan said there was “no way in hell” he would consider meeting him.
He also acknowledged that his name appears in documents tied to Epstein because of the email exchange, but emphasized that he never had any contact with Epstein and never agreed to meet him.
Hines, who is married to U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., asked Rogan whether he was relieved he never followed through.
Rogan didn’t hesitate. His reaction made it clear he believes steering clear was the obvious — and only — choice.
Epstein was later arrested in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges involving minors. He died in jail while awaiting trial, and his connections to powerful figures in politics, business and entertainment have continued to fuel public scrutiny.
For Rogan, though, the story ends simply: he was asked, he Googled, and he said no.
