The actor is finally free to talk about her work on the last season of Stranger Things, which is now rolling out on Netflix. But when it comes to Marvel, the vault is firmly shut. Sink is set to appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and she’s not even allowed to reveal who she’s playing.
“I had an amazing time working on that film,” Sink said in a recent interview. “There’s so much I want to share. Keeping Stranger Things secrets feels easy now because the Spider-Man secrets are even more intense.”
Sink will star alongside Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jon Bernthal in the fourth Spider-Man movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
She revealed that she learned about her Marvel casting while she was still finishing work on the final season of Stranger Things. The timing made the moment even more emotional.
“It was crazy,” said the 23-year-old. “Spider-Man has always been my favorite. I love Tom’s Spider-Man. Being a fan of something and then suddenly joining it feels unreal.”
That feeling was familiar for Sink. Before she joined Stranger Things at age 14, she was already a fan of the show. She says the Marvel experience brought that same excitement — along with a meaningful reunion. Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who worked with Sink years earlier on The Glass Castle, one of her first movies.
“It’s a full-circle moment,” Sink said.
After nearly a decade of living with spoilers, Sink admits she does share a few details — but only with people she trusts. Her family and fellow cast members are in the know, which makes the secrecy easier to handle.
Still, she’s looking forward to the day when it’s all public.
“It’ll be nice once it’s all finally out there,” Sink said. “I can’t wait for the time when I never have to keep a Stranger Things secret again.”
Until then, fans will have to wait — especially for anything related to Marvel.
