Lola Young Shares Health Update Three Months After Onstage Collapse

Singer Lola Young has shared a personal update on her health nearly three months after she collapsed onstage during a music festival performance.

The 24-year-old posted a message on Instagram on Saturday, December 20, thanking fans for giving her time and space to recover. She said the support she received helped her get into a better place mentally.

“I’ve felt so much love and support from you all, and it has helped more than you will ever know,” Young wrote. She added that she hopes to slowly return to performing and continue pursuing her dreams. Wishing fans happy holidays, she said she is doing well and looks forward to seeing everyone again in 2026.

Young collapsed in the middle of her set at the All Things Go festival in September. Social media footage showed her being rushed offstage, where she received medical attention. Several hours later, she reassured fans that she was okay and thanked them for their support.

Days before the festival, Young had canceled several appearances in New York due to what she described as a sensitive matter. During her festival performance, she spoke openly about struggling with life’s challenges and choosing to show up despite the difficulties. Moments later, she collapsed onstage.

In the weeks following the incident, Young canceled more shows to focus on her recovery. In a September 30 Instagram post, she said she needed to step away for the foreseeable future and confirmed that ticket holders would receive full refunds. She also expressed hope that fans would give her another chance once she returned stronger.

Young rose to fame in 2019 after releasing her debut single “6 Feet Under.” She released her first album, My Mind Wanders and Sometimes Leaves Completely, in 2023. Her second album, This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway, followed in 2024 and featured the viral hit “Messy.”

Earlier this year, Young said the song connected with listeners because it reflects real life rather than perfection. She explained that not every day fits a polished image and that being imperfect is something many people relate to.

Young has also been open about her mental health. In 2022, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. She said the diagnosis had a major impact on her life but emphasized that it does not define who she is.

For now, Young says she is focusing on her well-being as she plans a gradual return to music.
