On the December 18 episode of The Kardashians, the reality TV star shared that she was only nine days away from taking the exam when stress and health issues began to overwhelm her. After six years of intense preparation to become a lawyer, Kim admitted she had reached her breaking point.
“I’m absolutely gonna cry, because it’s f------ exhausting,” she said on the show, explaining that she felt like she had “hit a wall” with her studies. Adding to the pressure, Kim suffered a back injury that left her in constant pain. “I can hardly walk, I can hardly sit. Every time I think I get to another step, something pulls me back,” she said.
Kim also confessed she was surprised by how emotional the process had become. Although she had been warned that many people experience a mental breakdown before the bar exam, she never thought it would happen to her. “I just knew that wasn’t me, but I get it now. It’s really a lot,” she admitted.
At one point, Kim even questioned whether she would retake the exam if she failed. She explained that time and age were concerns, saying she might not have the capacity to start over years later.
Despite those doubts, Kim made it clear after the results that she was not giving up. In November, she revealed she did not pass the July bar exam but remained determined. “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,” she joked in an Instagram post. She added, “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar.”
Kim later shared more footage of her exam preparation and reinforced her commitment to the goal. “Failing short isn’t failure — it’s fuel,” she wrote, saying she came very close to passing and that the setback only motivated her more. “This dream means too much to me to walk away from.”
While the journey has been tougher than expected, Kim Kardashian says she will continue studying, learning, and pushing forward until she finally earns her place as a lawyer.
