Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Put Family First as They Co-Parent After Split

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are showing the world what respectful co-parenting looks like.

On Tuesday, Dec. 30, the former couple were spotted together in London with their 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, enjoying Paddington: The Musical. Official photos shared by the show’s Instagram account captured the easy, friendly vibe between the exes as they supported their child together.

Bloom’s son Flynn, 14 — whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr — also joined the outing, making it a full family affair. In one group photo with cast members, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor knelt down as Daisy rested her head on his shoulder, while Flynn crouched nearby. Perry stood just behind them, smiling.

Perry, 41, kept things casual in a tan sweatshirt and matching pants, topped with a baseball cap. Adding to the star-studded crowd was Brian May, the legendary guitarist of Queen, who was also spotted at the show. Other photos in the carousel showed Perry and Bloom posing with Paddington himself.

The public outing comes months after Perry and Bloom ended their engagement in June, following nine years together. The pair, who got engaged in 2019, confirmed their split shortly after, making it clear that their focus would remain on their daughter.

“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,” a statement released July 3 read. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”

While Perry and Bloom continue to move forward as co-parents, Perry’s personal life has also taken a new turn. Over the summer, she was rumored to be dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after the two were seen together at Le Violon in Montreal.

“Katy and Justin seemed to have had a fantastic evening,” a representative for the restaurant said at the time. “They were super kind and friendly to the staff, and it was an absolute pleasure to have them.”

The rumors were confirmed in December when Perry and Trudeau went Instagram official, sharing photos from a vacation to Tokyo. Perry captioned the post, “tokyo times on tour and more ( ◠‿◠ ) 🎄🍣🐡🥞💐☃️♥️.”

During the Japan trip — which coincided with stops on Perry’s recently wrapped Lifetimes Tour — she joined Trudeau on a visit with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko. Kishida later shared a photo of the group on X, referring to Perry as Trudeau’s “partner.”

A source close to Perry later shared insight into how the relationship developed. “The only reason this turned into something real is because Justin has been so persistent,” the source said. “She wasn’t looking to date when they first hung out and she certainly wasn’t looking for a boyfriend.” The source added that Perry is flattered by the effort and excited about the relationship.

Trudeau, who split from his wife Sophie Grégoire in 2023 after marrying in 2005, shares three children with her: Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.

For now, Perry and Bloom continue to demonstrate that even after a breakup, family can still come first — and that co-parenting can be done with grace, respect, and a united front.
