During Monday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel read aloud Trump’s harsh comments about the performance, which Trump called “absolutely terrible” and “one of the worst ever.” Trump also complained that the show didn’t represent American “standards of success” and mocked the fact that many viewers didn’t understand the lyrics.

Kimmel responded with his trademark sarcasm. He also took a swipe at Fox News, noting that the network praised Turning Point USA’s show. A clip then aired of a Turning Point representative telling Fox News host Brian Kilmeade that the group plans to put on another halftime show next year.

That set Kimmel up for one final punchline. “Next year it will be Lara Trump with a Ted Nugent cover band,” he joked. “They’ve got to do it for the country.”
