Cardi B Fires Back After Being Linked to Report on Nicki Minaj’s X Account

Cardi B is pushing back after being dragged into a political controversy involving rival Nicki Minaj.

The dispute began after a new report by Israeli data firm Cyabra claimed that a large number of fake accounts boosted political content on Minaj’s X account. The report, first published by Politico, said 33% of nearly 55,000 accounts interacting with Minaj over two months were inauthentic — more than 18,000 accounts. On one day, Dec. 26, the company found 56% of comments on her political posts came from fake accounts.

Cyabra concluded that a coordinated bot campaign was amplifying Minaj’s political content.

The situation escalated when Alex Bruesewitz, who describes himself as a Trump adviser, called the report a “total scam.” He pointed out that Cardi B’s agent, Mike G, is affiliated with Cyabra, suggesting a link between Cardi and the findings about Minaj.

Cardi quickly denied any involvement.

“Listen, you involved me in something that has nothing to do wit me,” she wrote on X, threatening legal action and insisting she has no connection to the report. She said Cyabra is a data company with multiple investors and clients, and that she does not keep track of her agent’s investments.

Cyabra has said its clients include major corporations and public figures, and noted that former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo serves on its advisory board.

The controversy comes as Minaj has become more vocal in conservative politics. Earlier this year, she appeared at an event with Donald Trump promoting his “Trump Accounts” policy and later claimed she received a “Trump Gold Card” finalizing her U.S. citizenship.

Cardi and Minaj have feuded for years, most recently over album sales tied to Cardi’s latest project, Am I the Drama?

Minaj has not publicly responded to the Cyabra report. Meanwhile, Cardi criticized Bruesewitz for focusing on social media drama instead of broader issues facing Americans, writing, “America got so many issues… Yet Trump’s advisor is arguing on Twitter with a female rapper.”
