Snoop Dogg Steals the Show With Hilarious NBA Commentary During Warriors–Clippers Clash

Snoop Dogg turned an ordinary NBA broadcast into must-watch entertainment on Monday night, delivering a hilarious and memorable commentary stint during the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers in Inglewood.

The legendary rapper grabbed the headset for the second half of the game, and things truly took off in the fourth quarter when Warriors head coach Steve Kerr completely lost his cool. Furious with the officiating, Kerr erupted at the referees and was promptly ejected — and Snoop captured the moment in classic fashion.

“Back him up! Back him up, G.P.! Steve ready to fire on him!” Snoop shouted, referencing Warriors assistant and former NBA great Gary Payton.
“Get him, Steve! You in Inglewood, Steve! The Arizona Wildcat done came out!”

Snoop didn’t slow down after the Kerr meltdown. When Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton tried — and failed — to finish at the rim against Clippers center Brook Lopez, the rapper delivered another unforgettable line.

“He too little,” Snoop said. “Small fries tryna run up on a Big Mac. Sit down somewhere.”

He also offered some old-school basketball wisdom, calling out Lopez for not posting up smaller defenders like Jimmy Butler.

“They don’t play the way I played in the ’80s,” Snoop joked. “You supposed to go down and set up. Post up, come on big fella — you seven feet tall! Go in the paint!”

Snoop capped it off with a broader critique of the modern game, adding, “Look at this, man. This is what basketball has become.”

Given the instant buzz and nonstop laughs, it’s hard to imagine this being Snoop Dogg’s last time in the broadcast booth. Still, he has plenty on his plate. The music icon is set to serve as Team USA’s first honorary coach for the Olympic and Paralympic teams when the Winter Games begin in early February.
