Noel Gallagher Pitches Oasis for Next James Bond Theme

Noel Gallagher has publicly thrown Oasis’ hat into the ring for the next James Bond movie, saying the band would be “honored” to write the theme song for the upcoming film.

Speaking on TalkSport radio, the Oasis star reacted to reports claiming the band sits high on Amazon MGM Studios’ wishlist for the next 007 outing. The new film, often referred to as Bond 26, is set to be directed by Denis Villeneuve and written by Steven Knight.

When asked about the speculation, Gallagher initially brushed it off with a laugh. But when presenter Andy Goldstein posed a hypothetical call from longtime Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, Gallagher joked he would happily accept. He then made his feelings clear.

“Of course, it would be an absolute honor,” Gallagher said. “I think those kinds of things should be done by Brits and not Yanks.”

Despite the enthusiasm, Gallagher confirmed Oasis has not yet been approached to write the theme. That has not stopped the rumors from growing, especially after his brother, Liam Gallagher, hinted last month that something might already be in the works. Posting on X, Liam claimed the band had the “best BOND tune ever” ready to go.

The future of the franchise is now firmly in new hands. Longtime custodians Michael G. Wilson and Broccoli handed over control last year in a reported $1 billion deal with Jeff Bezos’ studio, opening the door to fresh creative choices.

If Oasis were to land the gig, they would join an elite group of artists who have recorded Bond themes, including Adele, Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, and Shirley Bassey.

For now, the call has not come. But Gallagher’s message to the Bond producers is clear: if they want Oasis, he’s ready to say yes.
