Jimmy Kimmel Slams Trump Over ICE Shooting Response During Fiery Monologue

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel sharply criticized Donald Trump on Wednesday night after the former president posted a controversial response to the fatal shooting of a Minneapolis woman by an ICE agent.

Trump reacted on Truth Social after a video circulated online showing an ICE agent shooting Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen, as she attempted to drive away. In his post, Trump claimed the woman was “very disorderly” and said the agent fired in self-defense after being “violently” run over.

During his monologue, Kimmel mocked Trump’s tone and disputed his account of events. After showing the post on screen, Kimmel sarcastically introduced it as the president weighing in “with compassion.” He said the video did not support Trump’s claim.

“I saw this video,” Kimmel told the audience. “It didn’t look like anybody got run over. It looked like a woman got scared, tried to drive away, and they shot her.”

Kimmel noted that the facts would ultimately be decided in court but pointed to comments from Jacob Frey, who forcefully rejected claims that the shooting was self-defense. In a clip shown on the program, Frey called that narrative “bulls--t” and accused ICE of reckless use of power.

“This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying,” Frey said, adding, “And I have a message for ICE: Get the f--- out of Minneapolis.”

The audience erupted in applause, and Kimmel joined in by revealing a custom T-shirt reading, “Get the f--- out of MPLS.” The moment followed another visual gag earlier in the monologue, when Kimmel held up a shirt that read, “Donald J. Trump is gonna kill you.”

Kimmel explained the joke was inspired by comments made earlier that day by Lindsey Graham, who warned Iran’s leadership that Trump would “kill you” if protesters continued to be harmed.

“That’s right,” Kimmel joked in response, adding that Trump “won’t stop killing you until he gets that Nobel Prize.”

The monologue capped off a night of sharp political satire, with Kimmel using humor and outrage to challenge Trump’s handling of a deadly and highly charged incident.
