On Saturday, Jan. 10, several TikTok users alleged that the Rhode founder had reposted a video analyzing what it described as “abusive” dynamics in celebrity relationships. The video referenced Hailey and Justin Bieber as an example, prompting online speculation.
Hailey addressed the claims directly through an Instagram Stories post shared the same day. “Hey! I know you guys who live on the internet are really bored, but I didn't repost any video speaking on my relationship. Have a beautiful Saturday!” she wrote.
The video in question featured commentary on multiple celebrity couples, arguing that some relationships are romanticized despite alleged issues such as emotional labor imbalance and abuse. In the segment mentioning the Biebers, the creator claimed the couple remained together because Hailey would “tolerate that abuse,” along with making additional allegations related to addiction and relationship struggles.
Hailey has previously spoken out against online rumors and speculation surrounding her marriage. In a May profile with Vogue, she addressed persistent internet commentary about her relationship, saying she had expected the attention to fade over time. “You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit,” she said. “But no.”
The couple, who married in 2018, share a 16-month-old son, Jack Blues. After celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary in September, a source said the pair had grown stronger by overcoming challenges together. According to the source, becoming parents has further deepened their bond, with their son now at the center of their lives.
The insider added that both Hailey and Justin are currently doing well professionally and personally, noting his chart success and her continued growth in the beauty industry.
Hailey and Justin Bieber became engaged in 2018 and married later that year in a civil ceremony in New York City, followed by a larger celebration in 2019. They welcomed their son in August 2024.
