Chloe Fineman Jokes About Her New Year’s Resolution After Med Spa Mishaps

Chloe Fineman is starting the year with self-deprecating humor — and a brutally honest look at the less-glamorous side of beauty treatments.

The Saturday Night Live star shared a hilarious New Year’s post revealing a collection of selfies taken while recovering from various med spa procedures. The photos, many showing swelling and bruising, were paired with a tongue-in-cheek voiceover poking fun at the lengths people go to in the name of skincare.

“Every year, hundreds of women will say they’re going on a trip or visiting family in Connecticut,” Fineman joked. “But really, they’ll be going ham at a med spa doing crazy stuff like laser treatments, salmon injections, sculptra plaster, or whatever the hell this was.”

She continued by joking that women then “hide themselves away in caves like bears,” while sending recovery selfies to friends who politely insist, “It’s not that bad.” Fineman ended the bit by mockingly pledging to “stop the cycle,” before quickly adding, “Just kidding, I’m going Friday.”

Her caption added to the humor: “Can we normalize having a ‘Botched’ iPhone photo album?”

Fans and fellow comedians flooded the comments with praise. One friend recalled Fineman once sending a swollen-face selfie and asking if she could still perform onstage that night — insisting, of course, that “it’s not that bad.”

This isn’t the first time Fineman has openly laughed at her cosmetic misadventures. She previously admitted that her first Botox experience came via a Groupon during the pandemic — a decision she now calls “stupid.” The result left her face frozen longer than expected, something she says isn’t ideal for comedy or acting.

She’s also shared stories about laser treatments gone wrong, including one that left her so red and inflamed she compared herself to a character from The Little Rascals. Another treatment caused severe lip swelling, forcing her to hide out during recovery.

In recent interviews, Fineman has continued to speak candidly about med spas becoming a regular — and sometimes regrettable — part of her beauty routine. Now in her thirties, she jokes she’s at “peak med spa mistake age,” admitting she’s learned many lessons the hard way.

Still, her honesty is exactly what fans love. By turning cosmetic mishaps into comedy, Fineman proves that even Hollywood beauty routines come with bruises, swelling — and a very good sense of humor.
