The charity shared the news on December 23 through a statement from its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenoton. She praised Swift’s generosity, saying the donation would help ensure families facing food insecurity can put meals on the table during the holidays and beyond.
Feeding America oversees a nationwide network of food banks, pantries and local meal programs, and Swift’s gift will directly support communities struggling with rising food costs.
This is not the first time the singer has stepped in to help. In 2024, Swift previously donated $5 million to Feeding America to support disaster relief efforts following Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Over the years, she has also quietly made donations to food banks in both the US and the UK while on tour.
Much of that generosity is highlighted in her recently released tour documentary, The End Of An Era. The series offers an inside look at her record-breaking Eras Tour, including emotional moments offstage and Swift handing out millions of dollars in bonuses to her live crew.
The documentary also captures Swift reacting to major events during the tour, including her emotional response to the Southport stabbing attack and a foiled terrorist plot targeting her Vienna shows. Fans also get behind-the-scenes access to rehearsals and surprise onstage appearances from artists such as Florence Welch, Ed Sheeran and Sabrina Carpenter.
The Eras Tour itself was historic, grossing a reported $2 billion in ticket sales. Swift played 149 shows across 51 cities on five continents, boosting local economies and regularly making headlines for her charitable giving along the way.
In October, Swift released her 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl. Speaking at the time, she said she still thinks about the Eras Tour “every day,” but made it clear she has no immediate plans to return to the road.
With her latest donation, Swift once again shows that her impact reaches far beyond music — especially during the season of giving.
