Moisés Arias Says Hannah Montana Fame Still Follows Him Nearly 15 Years Later

Moisés Arias may now be starring in Prime Video’s hit series Fallout, but his breakout role on Hannah Montana continues to follow him into adulthood.

The actor, now 31, rose to fame in 2006 at just 12 years old when he played the mischievous Rico Suave on the Disney Channel series. The show starred Miley Cyrus as a teenager living a double life as pop star Hannah Montana, alongside Emily Osment, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jason Earles and Mitchel Musso. Though the series ended in 2011 after four seasons, its impact remains strong.

Speaking while promoting Fallout season 2, Arias joked that nostalgia-fueled headlines about the cast never really stop. “Every four or five years, it’s like, ‘This is them now, feel old yet?’” he said. “I can’t recall a week that it hasn’t happened.”

Arias recently found himself back in the spotlight after shirtless photos he shared on Instagram went viral in June 2025. Still, he says Hannah Montana holds a special place in his heart. “It was a time not only in the audience’s lives, but in mine,” he explained. “It feels like growing up together.”

He also reflected on the unique scale of the show, which included movies, music releases and concert tours. “It was the craziest mix of television and live shows,” he said. “The music really sticks with people. You don’t forget it.”

Despite moving on to different projects, the cast still keeps in touch. Arias revealed that they try to reunite every few years. He last saw Emily Osment in 2024 during a joint celebration for their respective shows. “I hadn’t seen her in five or six years,” he said. “It’s like seeing friends from high school. You shared something intense, and it’s always great to reconnect.”

Today, Arias is focused on Fallout, where he plays Norm MacLean, a vault dweller whose story took a dramatic turn at the end of season 1. As season 2 begins, Norm finds himself trapped, dehydrated and hungry in Vault 31 — with only a mysterious brain on a Roomba for company.

“He’s really on his last wits,” Arias said, adding that Norm is now grappling with shocking truths about the world he thought he understood.

From Disney Channel fame to post-apocalyptic drama, Arias’ journey shows just how far he’s come — even if fans still love to look back.
