Lisa Vanderpump Shrugs Off Reboot Doubts, Says ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Success Comes With Drama

Lisa Vanderpump is not worried about the future of the rebooted Vanderpump Rules — even as reports suggest Bravo may be having second thoughts.

Speaking to Page Six at the Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala in Beverly Hills, the reality TV star confidently dismissed critics questioning the show’s success. “Screw the naysayers!” Vanderpump said, adding that she has her own way of judging whether a season is truly working.

“I’m very excited about the new cast,” she explained. “Hopefully this time next year they’ll be a pain in my ass, because that’s when you know the show’s a success.”

The reboot recently hit No. 1 on Peacock, but according to a report by The US Sun, Bravo executives are allegedly struggling with the new version of the long-running series. An unnamed insider claimed the network does not believe the show is as strong as expected and that the new cast has not connected with viewers the way producers hoped.

Bravo previously announced that the entire original cast of the Emmy-nominated reality show had been scrapped, replacing them with a “new group of close-knit SUR-vers” — a reference to Vanderpump’s famous West Hollywood restaurant, SUR.

Despite the mixed reports, Vanderpump appeared completely unfazed. She attended the glamorous black-tie gala dressed in a dramatic gown and statement jewels, accompanied by her husband Ken Todd, daughter Pandora, and son-in-law Jason Sabo. Inside the event, she continued to praise the reboot’s new cast and showed no concern over ratings or rumors.

The charity gala, emceed by Mario Lopez, drew several celebrity guests, including Lance Bass, Planet Hollywood founder Robert Earl, and former Saturday Night Live star Jon Lovitz, who is also Vanderpump’s neighbor.

Past and present Vanderpump Rules stars were also spotted at the event, including James Kennedy, Stassi Schroeder, and Beau Clark. In true Vanderpump fashion, adorable rescue dogs were front and center, while C.J. Emmons and Emma Hunton provided live entertainment.

For Vanderpump, one thing remains clear: controversy, complaints, and chaos often mean a reality show is doing exactly what it should.
