Following the video’s circulation online, Chase reunited with his former costar Daniel Curtis Lee, who reached out after seeing the footage. Lee shared an update on Instagram, explaining that efforts had been made to get Chase into a hospital with help from Shaun Weiss and his team, though Chase ultimately decided not to move forward at that time.
Instead, Lee spent the day with Chase, taking him out for pizza and offering companionship during a difficult moment. During their time together, Lee also helped Chase reconnect with another longtime friend from the show, Devon Werkheiser, who spoke with Chase over FaceTime.
As the holiday season made finding shelter more challenging, Lee assisted Chase in securing a room at a local hotel. He said Chase felt comfortable trusting an old friend and wanted to stay nearby. Before parting ways, the two shared a hug, with Lee promising to check in on him again. Chase thanked him warmly, saying he was happy to see him.
Lee later reflected that the growing public concern around Chase could help him move forward. He shared that Chase seems encouraged by the number of people who care and are rooting for him.
Werkheiser, who played Ned Bigby on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, also spoke out, expressing heartbreak over Chase’s situation. He described Chase as a sensitive and kind person and said his hope is that the attention will lead to meaningful help, treatment, and a real chance for Chase to get back on track.
As former castmates and fans continue to rally around him, there is growing hope that this renewed support will lead to a brighter chapter ahead for Tylor Chase.
