Barbra Streisand Praises Ariana Grande in Heartfelt Instagram Tribute

Barbra Streisand is making it clear she’s a big fan of Ariana Grande.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the legendary singer and actress shared a warm throwback photo with Grande on Instagram, along with a glowing message that celebrated the younger star’s talent and character.

“Ariana is a young woman with an amazing talent,” Streisand wrote. “She has a beautiful voice like no one else, and so much more.”

Streisand went on to praise Grande’s range, noting that she can act, dance, and deliver comedy with ease. She also highlighted her personality, calling her “sweet, kind and thoughtful,” before adding how proud she felt to have collaborated with her on her album. The post ended with a congratulatory note about Grande’s recent appearance on Saturday Night Live, where Streisand said she looked wonderful.

Grande was clearly moved by the tribute. In the comments, the pop star responded with an emotional message, saying Streisand’s words “made my day, my year, my life,” and that the praise meant everything coming from someone she admires so deeply. She added that she hopes to see Streisand in person soon for a hug.

The exchange comes during a busy moment in Grande’s career. She is set to appear in Focker In-Law, the upcoming fourth film in the Meet the Parents franchise. Streisand previously joined the series in 2004’s Meet the Fockers, making their connection to the franchise another fun link between the two stars.

Speaking on Today earlier this year, co-star Ben Stiller teased Grande’s role in the new film, calling her “really, really funny” and describing her as a driving force behind the movie’s comedy.

Meanwhile, Streisand released her latest album, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume 2, in June. The project features multiple high-profile collaborations, including a duet with Grande and Mariah Carey on the track “One Heart, One Voice.”

That same month, Streisand addressed the possibility of returning to the Meet the Parents universe during an appearance on Just for Variety. She joked that it would take a significant paycheck to bring her back, referencing past pay disparities between men and women in Hollywood. Streisand noted that although she was underpaid at the time, former Universal executive Ron Meyer later sent her a bonus check, which she described as a thoughtful gesture.

For fans, Streisand and Grande’s public show of mutual admiration is a reminder that respect and encouragement across generations still shine brightly in the entertainment world.
