Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead Reunite in High-Stakes One Chicago Crossover

Fans of the One Chicago universe are in for a big treat. As revealed in a new teaser for next week’s crossover event, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. will welcome back two very familiar faces.

Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer are returning as Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead, reuniting with their former colleagues for the first time in years.

When the crossover airs

The three-part crossover will air on March 4 from 8–11 p.m. ET/PT. The night will unfold in a special order, starting with Chicago Fire, moving to Chicago Med, and wrapping up with Chicago P.D.

How Hailey and Jay come back

Spiridakos last appeared in Chicago P.D. during Season 11. This time, Hailey Upton returns to Chicago as an FBI special agent, working out of the Detroit field office. A major drug task force case pulls her back into familiar territory — and back to her old team.

Soffer left Chicago P.D. after 10 seasons, though fans have still seen his name behind the camera as a director. This crossover marks his first on-screen return as Jay Halstead. The last time viewers saw Jay, he had joined the Army and was stationed in Bolivia, tracking dangerous drug cartels. Now, after working deep undercover, his investigation leads him straight into the same case Hailey is chasing.

An emotional reunion

When Jay left Chicago, he and Hailey had just gotten married, leaving her devastated and searching for purpose. That heartbreak eventually pushed her toward a new life with the FBI. Their reunion during such a high-stakes emergency raises big questions — and hopes. Big guest returns are a tradition in the One Chicago universe. Earlier this season, Chicago Med celebrated its 200th episode by bringing back Will Halstead and Natalie Manning, played by Nick Gehlfuss and Torrey DeVitto.

What’s next for Tracy Spiridakos

Outside of One Chicago, Spiridakos is gearing up for a brand-new role in the upcoming USA Network series Anna Pigeon. She stars as Anna, a former city woman who becomes a park ranger in rural Washington after a tragic loss changes her life. While trying to outrun her past, Anna finds herself solving crimes in national parks — no matter the danger.

The series also stars Ronnie Rowe Jr. as FBI agent Frederick Stanton and Paulina Alexis as Zoey Bear Child, a young ranger mentored by Anna.
