Kid Rock Slams ‘Fake Liberal Media’ Over $5,000 Freedom 250 Tour Tickets

Kid Rock is pushing back after reports highlighted the $5,000 price tag for front-row tickets on his upcoming “Freedom 250” tour.

Earlier this week, fans reacted with shock when tickets went on sale and “first class” seats in the first five rows were listed at steep prices. The front row costs $5,000 per seat, followed by $4,000 for the second row, $3,000 for the third, $2,000 for the fourth and $1,000 for the fifth. No additional perks were listed with the premium seats, which led to criticism online.

Now, the rocker has responded directly to the coverage, accusing what he called the “fake liberal media” of twisting the story for attention.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: “The fake liberal media says I’m charging $5,000 for front-row tickets.” He then acknowledged that the figure is accurate, but argued that it doesn’t tell the full story.

According to Kid Rock, only 20 of these “first class” tickets are available per show — four seats in each of the first five rows. Most of the venues on the tour hold between 15,000 and 25,000 people.

He also pointed out that lawn seats are priced at $50 and said the tour’s ticketing model is designed to limit scalping. “Instead of reporting facts or that lawn seats are only 50 bucks or how we are cutting out the scalpers, they twist it for headlines/clicks and to attack me — nothing new here,” he wrote.

Kid Rock ended his post with a sharp message aimed at journalists: “I WILL pray for them, but I know that sooner or later God will cut ’em down.”

The “Freedom 250” tour kicks off May 1 in Dallas and includes 10 dates across North America.
