On Saturday night, Jake Paul weighed in on respect for law enforcement with a blunt message on X. The 29-year-old boxer and influencer wrote that anyone who criticizes U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, better known as ICE, shouldn’t be allowed to call 911.
“If you don’t like ICE then you can’t call 911 when you’re in trouble,” Paul posted. “If you don’t respect law enforcement agents then you shouldn’t depend on them.”
The post immediately drew backlash — and Paul didn’t stop there. He went on to single out Billie Eilish, mocking her name and suggesting she would rely on law enforcement if her home were ever broken into.
“When Billie Eyelash gets her home broken into it’s not gonna be f-ck ICE I can promise you that,” he wrote.
Paul’s comments were a direct response to Eilish’s speech earlier this month at the 2026 Grammy Awards. While accepting Song of the Year for “Wildflower,” the 24-year-old singer used her moment on stage to make a political statement.
“No one is illegal on stolen land,” Eilish told the audience, closing her speech with the words: “F-ck ICE.”
That line quickly went viral — praised by supporters as a stand for immigrant rights and criticized by others as disrespectful to law enforcement. Paul’s post poured gasoline on the debate, turning it into a trending topic within minutes.
Online reaction was swift and intense. Critics accused Paul of misunderstanding how emergency services work and conflating local police with federal immigration enforcement. Others slammed his personal attack on Eilish, calling it juvenile and unnecessary. Supporters, meanwhile, echoed his argument that public criticism of law enforcement should come with consequences.
Neither Eilish nor her representatives have responded to Paul’s comments.
