In a new video posted by TMZ on Feb. 18, Ja Rule made it clear that while he’s not interested in continuing an all-out war, he has no plans to reconcile with 50 Cent or members of G-Unit — including Tony Yayo — following their recent airplane confrontation during Super Bowl weekend.
“Sometimes in life, people have enemies, and that’s OK. Everybody can’t be friends,” Ja said while walking through New York City. “But what I’m saying is, we don’t also have to be at war. There’s room for us to be not friends and also not be at war.”
He added that he doesn’t deal with that side anymore. “I don’t f—k with them, they don’t f—k with me. That’s fine, but I also don’t have to be at war.”
Heated Super Bowl Weekend Incident
Tensions flared on a San Francisco flight on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 8), where Ja Rule reportedly got into a heated argument with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda.
Video clips circulating online showed the rappers exchanging insults mid-flight. At one point, Ja allegedly threw a pillow in their direction as the shouting match escalated.
In one clip, Uncle Murda can be heard taunting Ja Rule. Ja fired back with insults of his own, and another angle showed him appearing ready to escalate the situation further before others stepped in. According to reports, he was eventually removed from the plane.
At one point during the altercation, Ja repeatedly said, “Let’s shake,” seemingly challenging someone to fight.
Ja Rule Apologizes
Following the incident, the 49-year-old rapper addressed the situation in a statement to ABC News, expressing regret over how he handled things.
“I’m not proud of my behavior. It’s goofy to me,” he said. “I’m a grown man about to be a proud grandfather, and I wish that video of me wasn’t out there either.”
He continued: “I don’t like people taking me out of my character, so for that, I apologize to my wife, family, fans, business and investment partners.”
50 Cent Trolls — Again
As expected, 50 Cent didn’t let the moment pass without commentary.
The Queens rapper took to Instagram on Feb. 18 to poke fun at his longtime rival. In the caption of a post featuring a clip from his DoorDash campaign ad — soundtracked by Sade — 50 shared what he called a “feuding masterclass” quote.
“Good morning Let your enemies become motivation, make them watch your success till they snap. Then get the [f—k] out the way before they crash out. LOL,” he wrote.
The jab is just the latest chapter in one of hip-hop’s longest-running feuds. While Ja Rule says he’s ready for peace without friendship, history suggests that this rivalry isn’t fading anytime soon.
