Ioan Gruffudd Testifies Ex-Wife Alice Evans Threatened to ‘Destroy’ His Career

Ioan Gruffudd told a court this week that his ex-wife, Alice Evans, threatened to ruin his career by making false accusations against him.

The “Fantastic Four” actor is asking a judge to renew a restraining order against Evans. He and his current wife, Bianca Wallace, claim Evans has stalked them and attacked them online.

During testimony, Gruffudd said Evans warned she would “Amber Heard” him — a reference to Johnny Depp’s defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard. Depp sued Heard over a 2018 Washington Post opinion piece about abuse and won the case.

Gruffudd described one incident when he dropped off their daughters, Ella, 16, and Elsie, 12, after a scheduled visit. He claimed Evans shouted at him loudly and accused him of being a “child molester, a pedophile and a drug addict.”

“She said she was going to destroy me,” Gruffudd testified, according to the Daily Mail. He added that Evans allegedly told their daughters to report him if he ever acted “weird or creepy.”

The actor, 52, said he felt threatened and feared she would create a scandal that could damage his public image and career. He also claimed Evans threatened to make up a crime involving Wallace, 33, that could lead to her being deported. Gruffudd and Wallace married in April 2025.

Gruffudd and Evans separated in 2021, and their divorce was finalized in 2023. In 2022, he was granted a three-year restraining order against Evans after alleging she repeatedly threatened to make false public accusations against him if he left the marriage.

The couple’s legal battles have continued. In 2023, their eldest daughter filed for a restraining order against Gruffudd and Wallace, but it was denied.

In 2024, Evans asked the Los Angeles Superior Court for more child and spousal support, saying she was struggling financially and close to running out of money.

The court has not yet ruled on whether the restraining order will be renewed.
