HBO Announces New Cast for “The White Lotus” Season 4 Set in France

HBO has announced new cast members for season 4 of “The White Lotus.” The hit drama series will be set in France, continuing the show’s tradition of placing wealthy vacationers in luxurious — and often dangerous — resorts.

Among the new additions are Helena Bonham Carter and Chris Messina. HBO shared the news on Instagram on Thursday, confirming that the next season will take place in France.

Other actors joining the cast include Alexander Ludwig, Steve Coogan, model Marissa Long, actress and singer AJ Michalka, and actor Caleb Jonte Edwards.

After the announcement, Marissa Long shared an emotional post on Instagram, saying she felt overwhelmed and honored to join the series. In one video, she appeared teary-eyed while sharing the news, and in another she joked that she felt like she might vomit from excitement. Alexander Ludwig also reacted on social media, posting, “Let’s goooooo!!!”

Season 3 of The White Lotus ended with major twists and a deadly shootout. The series has won 16 Primetime Emmy Awards so far. In the United States, 6.2 million viewers watched the season 3 finale on the night it was released, according to HBO.

Previous seasons were set in Hawaii, Italy, and Thailand. While some cast members had hoped the next season would take place in a snowy or desert location, the upcoming chapter will unfold in France.
