911 Call Sheds New Light on Death of Tommy Lee Jones’ Daughter Victoria Jones

New details have emerged about the tragic death of Victoria Jones, the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, after audio from a 911 dispatch call was made public.

According to the dispatch audio obtained by TMZ, the incident was reported as a “code 3 for the overdose, color change.” The phrase “color change” typically refers to cyanosis, a condition in which the skin, lips, or fingernails turn bluish due to a lack of oxygen in the blood.

Victoria was found unresponsive on the 14th floor of the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

In a statement, a hotel spokesperson said, “We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on Jan. 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation.”

According to reports, a hotel guest initially discovered Victoria and alerted hotel staff, believing she had passed out from drinking. Paramedics were called to the hotel at around 2:52 a.m. for a medical emergency. A fire department spokesperson said bystanders were given CPR instructions before first responders arrived.

Despite those efforts, Victoria was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers from the San Francisco Police Department arrived shortly after, and the case was turned over to them for further investigation. Authorities have said there were no signs of foul play. No drug paraphernalia was found, and there is currently no indication that her death was a suicide.

An official cause of death has not yet been released. It also remains unclear whether Victoria was staying at the hotel or how she accessed the 14th floor.

Victoria had some early acting credits and followed in her father’s footsteps for a time, appearing in Men in Black II, One Tree Hill, and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which was directed by her father.

Tommy Lee Jones, who shared Victoria with his former wife Kimberlea Cloughley, previously spoke proudly about his daughter. In a 2006 interview with The New Yorker, he described her as “a good actress,” noting that she had her SAG card and spoke fluent Spanish.

Although Victoria later stepped away from acting, she was occasionally seen supporting her father at red carpet events.

The investigation into her death is ongoing.
