Sean Astin Steps In to Help ‘Ned’s Declassified’ Star Tylor Chase

Actor Sean Astin is trying to help former Ned’s Declassified actor Tylor Chase, who has been struggling while living on the streets in Southern California.

The effort was shared by Daniel Curtis Lee, one of Tylor’s former co-stars. Daniel says he has recently spent time with Tylor and even helped cover a temporary hotel stay for him. Shortly after that, someone assisting Tylor reached out with unexpected news: Sean Astin wanted to meet him.

According to Daniel, the meeting meant a lot to Tylor. Sean is a personal hero to him, especially because Tylor is a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings. Sean reportedly hoped that meeting face-to-face might encourage Tylor to leave the streets and accept help.

On Christmas Day, Daniel spoke with Tylor over FaceTime. During that call, Tylor reflected on meeting Sean and described it as a positive experience. The timing was especially meaningful, as Sean Astin currently serves as president of the Screen Actors Guild, giving the gesture extra weight within the acting community.

Tylor has been homeless for some time and is alleged to be struggling with meth addiction. Concern for him grew after videos circulated online showing him looking unwell and clearly in need of housing and support.

Earlier, Ryan Railsback, a spokesperson for the Riverside Police Department, explained that law enforcement’s ability to help is limited unless Tylor directly asks for or agrees to receive assistance.

For now, those close to Tylor hope that support from former co-stars and respected figures like Sean Astin can make a difference and help guide him toward stability and recovery.
