Love Island: All Stars Season 3 Delayed After Villa Evacuated Due to South Africa Wildfires

Production on Love Island: All Stars Season 3 has been temporarily halted after wildfires near the filming location in South Africa forced the evacuation of the villa.

British broadcaster ITV confirmed that the show’s planned premiere on Monday, January 12, will be postponed to ensure the safety of both the Islanders and the production crew.

In a statement, ITV said: “Further to a production evacuation owing to ongoing wildfires in the area, our assessment of the location site has concluded that filming will need to be postponed.”

The statement added, “Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed.”

Host Maya Jama is set to return for the new season, which brings back former Islanders to the villa for another chance at love.

Love Island typically films close to its air date because viewers at home play an interactive role that can influence events inside the villa. Filming for the new season was scheduled to begin this weekend, making the delay unavoidable.

The postponement will also impact the U.S. release on Peacock, where the premiere had been set for Wednesday, January 14.

The returning Islanders for Season 3 include Whitney Adebayo (Season 10), Millie Court (Season 7), Belle Hassan (Season 5), Helena Ford (Season 12), Jess Harding (Season 10), Leanne Amaning (Season 6), Ciaran Davies (Season 11), Jack Keating (Season 8), Sean Stone (Season 11), Tommy Bradley (Season 12), Charlie Frederick (Season 4), and Shaq Muhammad (Season 9).

ITV has not yet announced a new filming or premiere date.
