Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox Reunite for Playful Hair Banter — and a Horrible Bosses Callback

Jennifer Aniston gave fans a nostalgic treat this week when she shared a lighthearted social media moment with longtime friend and former Friends co-star Courteney Cox — this time as themselves, not Rachel and Monica.

In the short clip, Aniston jokes about going brunette as Cox steps into the frame and playfully holds her dark hair against Aniston’s face.
“Would I ever go brunette? I am brunette,” Aniston quips, before quickly adding, “Oh, wait — this is like the Horrible Bosses character I played.”

That character was Dr. Julia Harris, the wildly inappropriate dentist Aniston portrayed in the 2011 comedy Horrible Bosses. The role became one of her most unexpected and memorable performances, far removed from her polished romantic-comedy image.

Cox clearly remembers it fondly.
“I love Horrible Bosses,” she tells Aniston in the video.
“You were a badass dentist!” she adds, laughing.

While the banter doubled as an ad for Aniston’s haircare brand, LolaVie, the moment felt more like two close friends having fun than a typical promotion. Aniston, who is forever associated with The Rachel haircut, seemed right at home joking about her hair history.

The reunion also reminded fans just how close Aniston and Cox remain, more than two decades after starring together on NBC’s hit sitcom Friends, which aired from 1994 to 2004 and made both actresses global stars.

Beyond the laughs, the clip ties into something Aniston has been openly enthusiastic about lately: a possible return to Horrible Bosses. Speaking in June, the actress revealed that revisiting the franchise has come up in conversations with co-stars Jason Bateman and Charlie Day.

“Oh my God, this literally came up the other day: Horrible Bosses,” Aniston said. “That’s something that we think would be super fun.”

She added that comedy feels especially important right now.
“The characters are hilarious, and we need comedy. I personally think comedy is a necessity,” she explained. “It would be really fun to see where those crazy cats are today.”

Whether or not a Horrible Bosses revival actually happens, fans clearly enjoyed seeing Aniston and Cox back together — proving that their chemistry, humor, and friendship are still very much alive.
