In a new interview with Who What Wear, published Tuesday, Jan. 13, the 27-year-old actress spoke candidly about her romance with Wenner, whom she has been dating for more than two years. Describing him simply as “the best,” Fanning shared that the couple is focused on building a meaningful future together.
“We want to be a part of each other’s lives and share these fun times and experiences together,” she said. When asked about being open with their relationship on social media, Fanning added, “Why hide? The future looks bright.”
The couple currently splits their time between Los Angeles, where Fanning is renting a home, and New York City, where Wenner is based. According to the interview, they’ve even begun browsing potential long-term options together.
“We’ve been going on Zillow and looking at the Upper West and Upper East Side and the potential there [for a renovation project],” Fanning revealed.
Beyond real estate plans, the actress also spoke openly about wanting a family someday. “I definitely do want kids. I’ve always wanted kids,” she said. “I’ve known that since I was little.”
Fanning and Wenner — the son of Rolling Stone co-founder Jann Wenner — were first linked romantically in November 2023, when they were photographed holding hands. They later made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Golden Globe Awards in 2024.
Most recently, the pair attended this year’s Golden Globes together on Sunday, Jan. 11. Fanning was nominated for her role in the Norwegian film Sentimental Value. The award ultimately went to Teyana Taylor, who won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture.
Fanning has continued to share glimpses of her relationship online. After the Globes, she referred to Wenner as “the cutest date” while posting photos from the night on Instagram. Wenner, for his part, last posted a photo of Fanning in August, captioning a summer photo dump with the words “Sentimental value” — a nod to her film.
With career success and personal happiness aligning, Fanning appears to be entering a new chapter with confidence — both on screen and off.
