AOC Slams Fox News Producer After Viral Clip With Jesse Watters Invitation

A brief street-side exchange between Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and a Fox News producer has gone viral, after the congresswoman accused Fox host Jesse Watters of sexualizing and harassing her on air.

The clip, originally shared by reporter Pablo Manriquez, shows Ocasio-Cortez standing outside the U.S. Capitol when she is approached by a man holding a microphone. He identifies himself as a Fox News producer and tells her that Watters would like to invite her onto his show.

Ocasio-Cortez immediately pushes back.

“He has sexualized and harassed me on his show,” she says in the video.

When the producer replies, “That’s not true,” Ocasio-Cortez fires back, accusing Watters of suggesting she wanted to sleep with Stephen Miller, a former White House deputy chief of staff.

“So why don’t you tell me what you think is acceptable to tell a woman?” she adds.

Ocasio-Cortez later reposted the clip to her own X account with a blunt message: “You can either be a pervert or ask me to be on your little show. Not both. Good luck!”

The Comment That Sparked the Clash

Ocasio-Cortez appeared to be referring to remarks Watters made during an Oct. 7, 2025 episode of The Five. During a panel discussion with co-hosts Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, Jessica Tarlov, and Paul Mauro, Watters reacted to Ocasio-Cortez’s criticism of Miller.

At the time, Ocasio-Cortez had mocked Miller over policy issues and his appearance, calling him a “clown.” Watters responded by saying, “I think AOC wants to sleep with Miller. It’s so obvious, and I’m sorry, you can’t have him.”

He then launched into an extended monologue praising Miller, describing him as a “high-value man” with power, influence, and a mission to “save this republic and protect Western civilization.” Watters contrasted Miller with Democratic figures Ocasio-Cortez “may have,” naming Gavin Newsom, Adam Schiff, and Alexander Soros.

Watters claimed those men had failed the country on issues like crime, COVID, and immigration, while praising Miller for being brave and confident. He concluded by commenting that men like Miller “have younger wives with beautiful children,” before joking, “I just gave him, like, a dating recommendation.”

A Pattern of Controversial Remarks

This is not the first time Watters has faced criticism for comments made on air.

Following Donald Trump’s address to the United Nations in September 2025, Watters accused U.N. staff of sabotaging a broken escalator and a teleprompter malfunction, calling the incidents “an insurrection.” On air, he went further, joking about bombing or gassing the U.N. building.

Dana Perino, speaking off camera, warned him to stop. U.N. officials later explained that the escalator issue was caused by a cameraman and that the White House controlled the teleprompter.

Watters did not apologize publicly, but U.N. spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric later confirmed that Watters privately apologized to U.N. communications chief Melissa Fleming.

“There is nothing funny or ironic in calling for the bombing, the gassing, the destruction of this building,” Dujarric said at the time. “That kind of language is unacceptable.”

Viral Moment, Bigger Debate

The latest clip has reignited debate online about media conduct, sexism, and the line between political commentary and personal attacks. Supporters of Ocasio-Cortez praised her response as direct and necessary, while critics defended Watters as engaging in satire.

For Ocasio-Cortez, however, the message was clear: she sees no reason to appear on a show hosted by someone she says has already crossed a line.
