Mark Consuelos Keeps ‘Scream 7’ Secrets From Kelly Ripa as Ghostface Speculation Grows

Mark Consuelos is proving he can keep a straight face — even at home. The actor and daytime TV host is staying completely silent about his mysterious role in Scream 7, leaving his wife and cohost Kelly Ripa guessing whether he could secretly be Ghostface.

Consuelos, 54, is set to appear in the upcoming horror sequel alongside returning franchise stars Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox. But according to Ripa, he hasn’t revealed a single detail about the movie — despite her repeated attempts to pry.

“He’s the killer!” Ripa joked during an interview on the New York City set of Live With Kelly & Mark. “I know nothing. He’s very, very secretive.”

Consuelos doesn’t deny it. He admits he’s bound by strict nondisclosure agreements and takes them seriously, especially with a film as closely guarded as Scream 7. Still, the role means a lot to him for a very personal reason: their eldest son, Michael, is a huge fan of the franchise.

“Our son is 28 now, and for him, this might be the most impressive job I’ve ever booked,” Consuelos said. “It’s the coolest thing I’ve ever done. I’m planning to bind the script in leather for him after the movie comes out — because I can’t spoil anything now.”

Ripa noted that this level of secrecy is typical for her husband when a project is top secret. The couple, who met while starring together on the soap opera All My Children and secretly married in 1996, have learned over the years how to balance shared work and private professional lives.

While Consuelos has continued acting alongside his hosting duties — with recent roles on shows like The Girls on the Bus and 9-1-1 — Ripa says she’s intentionally stepped back from scripted acting. Her last major TV role was leading the ABC sitcom Hope & Faith in 2003.

“I really am devoted to this show and my podcast,” Ripa explained. “My plate is full. We have three adult kids, and I want to be present for their lives — especially now that our daughter is starting her music career in London. Acting schedules don’t always allow for that.”

As for Scream 7, the cast includes both new faces and familiar ones. Campbell and Cox return as Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers, while David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Scott Foley — all previously revealed Ghostface killers — are also set to appear in new roles.

Whether Mark Consuelos is behind the mask this time remains a mystery. For now, even Kelly Ripa will have to wait until the movie hits theaters to find out.
