‘Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch’ Star Charged With Murder After Cellmate Found Dead in Las Vegas Jail

Chad Ollinger, who appeared on Discovery Channel’s Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, has been charged with murder after his cellmate was found dead inside a Las Vegas jail.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, corrections officers at the Clark County Detention Center were conducting routine checks early Friday when they discovered a male inmate lying motionless inside a cell.

Officers entered the cell and observed that the inmate had apparent blunt force injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Ollinger, who was sharing the cell with the victim, was taken into custody shortly after the discovery. Detectives determined that a physical altercation occurred between Ollinger and the other inmate inside the cell prior to the man’s death.

As a result of the investigation, Ollinger now faces a charge of open murder, a spokesperson for the detention center confirmed.

Ollinger had already been in custody since October. Authorities say he was arrested as a fugitive from another state and was also facing a contempt of court charge at the time.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not yet released the identity of the deceased inmate or further details about what led to the confrontation.
