The pop icon now joins an exclusive list that includes her husband Jay-Z, along with Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna.
Beyoncé’s rise to billionaire status comes after several hugely successful years. Her Renaissance World Tour in 2023 brought in nearly $600 million, cementing her position as one of the most powerful touring artists in the world. In 2024, she surprised fans by releasing Cowboy Carter, a country-inspired album that went on to anchor 2025’s highest-grossing global tour.
A major reason behind her financial success is control. Beyoncé founded her own entertainment company, Parkwood Entertainment, in 2008. The company manages her career and produces her music, films, and tours. By paying many production costs up front, Beyoncé is able to keep a larger share of the profits.
According to Forbes, the Cowboy Carter Tour alone generated more than $400 million in ticket sales, plus an estimated $50 million from merchandise. Because Parkwood handled the production, those earnings came with higher profit margins. When combined with income from her music catalog and sponsorship deals, Forbes estimates Beyoncé earned about $148 million in 2025 before taxes, making her the world’s third-highest-paid musician this year.
Touring isn’t her only big revenue stream. Beyoncé reportedly earned around $60 million from Netflix for her 2019 documentary Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé. She also earned an estimated $50 million for performing during Netflix’s first Christmas Day NFL game halftime show in 2024.
In addition, she took an unconventional route with her Renaissance concert film, distributing it directly through AMC theaters. That move paid off, with Beyoncé earning nearly half of the film’s $44 million global box office total.
With smart business decisions, creative control, and record-breaking tours, Beyoncé’s billionaire status reflects not just her fame, but her ability to turn artistry into a powerful global enterprise.
