Soon-Yi Previn’s Emails With Jeffrey Epstein Made Public

Newly unsealed court documents show that Soon-Yi Previn, the wife of filmmaker Woody Allen, exchanged multiple emails with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein in the years before his death.

The emails were released Friday as part of millions of records made public under the U.S. Department of Justice’s Epstein Files Transparency Act.

One email exchange from January 2018 shows Previn forwarding Epstein a message she had originally sent to herself. The email included the subject line: “Just as the Me Too movement has gone too far so has Botox.”

In another message, Previn shared a link to a Daily Mail article about former New York congressman Anthony Weiner, who admitted to sexting a 15-year-old girl in 2016. In her email to Epstein, Previn blamed the teenage victim rather than Weiner.

“It’s an incredible story. You have to feel sorry for him. He can’t seem to learn,” Previn wrote. She added that she felt “disgusted” by the actions of the 15-year-old, accusing her of manipulating Weiner and saying the girl “knew exactly what she was doing.”

Previn was adopted in 1978 by actress Mia Farrow and conductor André Previn. She first met Woody Allen as a child after Farrow began a relationship with the filmmaker in 1980. Farrow and Allen later split after she discovered Allen’s relationship with Previn in the early 1990s. Previn and Allen married in 1997 and later adopted two daughters together.

Allen has long been surrounded by controversy. In 1992, Farrow accused him of sexually abusing their adopted daughter Dylan. Dylan publicly repeated those allegations in 2013 and again in the 2021 HBO documentary Allen v. Farrow. Allen has repeatedly denied the claims and has never been charged.

In a 2025 interview with The Sunday Times, Allen acknowledged being friends with Epstein. He described Epstein as “charming and personable” and said he and Previn attended dinner parties at Epstein’s home.

“We never, ever saw Jeffrey with underage girls,” Allen said. “He always had a girlfriend, but never an underage girlfriend.”

The release of the emails has renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s powerful social circle and the attitudes expressed by those who maintained close contact with him, even after his criminal history was widely known.
