Shia LaBeouf Arrested After Mardi Gras Fight in New Orleans

Shia LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans early Tuesday morning after getting into a fight during Mardi Gras celebrations, according to reports.

The incident happened just after midnight outside a bar in the French Quarter. Video obtained by TMZ reportedly shows the 39-year-old actor shirtless on the street, with his back tattoo visible, as he faced off with several people following an alleged physical altercation.

What Happened

According to court records, LaBeouf is facing two charges of simple battery.

An eyewitness told TMZ that LaBeouf was escorted out of the bar by staff for unknown reasons before a fight broke out outside. After the altercation, he allegedly walked down the block but later returned to the front of the bar.

Paramedics were called to the scene and treated LaBeouf on the street. Footage shows him receiving medical attention while speaking with emergency medical workers. He did not appear to have serious injuries. Another photographer reportedly captured images of him being placed inside a parked ambulance with its lights flashing.

Authorities later arrested the actor in connection with the incident.

Shia LaBeouf’s Past Legal Troubles

This is not the first time LaBeouf has faced legal issues. In 2017, he was arrested in Savannah, Georgia, for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Following that arrest, he entered court-mandated rehab.

Over the years, LaBeouf has spoken openly about his struggles with addiction and mental health. He has said that untreated childhood trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) contributed to his substance abuse.

The actor has since sought long-term sobriety support, including therapy and structured recovery programs, though his sobriety journey has reportedly had ups and downs.

Ongoing Case

As of now, it remains unclear whether LaBeouf has secured legal representation for the latest charges. The case is expected to move through the local court system in New Orleans.

More details may emerge as authorities release additional information.
