In January, she shared a clip of a new song on Instagram Stories titled “Piercing on My Hand (Ye Version).” The track appeared to address backlash she received over her dermal piercings.

In the song, North raps about her piercings, school experiences and rising fame. Lyrics reference public criticism and her bold personal style, signaling confidence despite online commentary.

North first sparked debate in September when she was photographed in Rome wearing a dermal piercing. Some fans argued that she was too young for the body modification, noting concerns about pain and infection risks.
