The emails were made public last week as part of the government’s ongoing release of records tied to the Epstein investigation. They span from 2012 to 2015 — years after Epstein had already faced public allegations of sexually abusing young women and girls.
Party Plans, Meetings, and Personal Messages
According to the documents, the emails include casual exchanges between Kimbal Musk and Epstein about party times, coffee meetings, and possible visits. In one 2013 message, Epstein invited Musk to spend “a couple of days” on his private island. Musk replied that his life felt like a “nuclear explosion,” but said he might be able to visit in the spring.
Other emails show Musk inviting Epstein to events and attempting to schedule time together.
One exchange also includes a message where Musk thanks Epstein and his associates for “connecting” him with a woman in 2012. In a reply, Epstein associate Boris Nikolic warned Musk that he “better be nice” because Epstein “goes crazy when someone mistreats his girls/friends.” Musk responded that he understood the message “wide and clear,” adding a winking emoji.
Emails Involving a Redacted Woman
The files also contain emails involving a woman whose name has been redacted. In one message, Musk told her he was not able to commit to a serious relationship and asked if they could “go back a step to just dating.”
That message was later forwarded to Epstein, who replied with “good news” and told the woman, “now I have you back again full time,” before inviting her to “the ranch.”
Business and Charity Appear Frequently
Not all the emails were personal. Many were newsletters or updates about Musk’s restaurant business and his education-focused charity work. Musk co-founded The Kitchen in Boulder in 2004, which has since expanded to Denver, Chicago, and Austin.
The emails also reference Musk’s “learning garden” initiative, which built outdoor classrooms and gardens for elementary school students across the U.S., including in Boulder and Denver.
New Details Also Mention Elon Musk
The latest release also includes new correspondence between Epstein and Elon Musk. This comes despite Elon Musk previously denying that he ever visited Epstein’s private island.
Millions of Pages Still Emerging
On Friday, the Justice Department released more than 3 million additional pages of documents, photos, and media. The release is part of a law meant to shed light on what the government knew about Epstein’s crimes and his relationships with powerful figures.
Officials say millions of pages were held back during an initial release in December, and more disclosures could still follow as the review continues.
As the documents become public, they continue to reveal how deeply Epstein remained connected to influential people long after serious allegations against him were widely known.
