TMZ was the first to report the news, citing law enforcement sources.
The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed that it responded to a medical emergency at the Fairmont Hotel just before 3 a.m. local time on Thursday. Officials said one person was found dead at the scene. The San Francisco Police Department also confirmed that officers responded to the hotel and that an adult woman was pronounced dead.
NBC Bay Area later reported that a police source said the woman found at the hotel is believed to be Victoria Jones. Authorities have not released an official cause of death. However, police said foul play is not suspected.
Victoria was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his ex-wife Kimberlea Cloughley. The former couple also share a son, Austin Jones, who is 43.
Victoria made a few acting appearances when she was younger. She first appeared in her father’s 2002 film Men in Black II. She later appeared in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which was directed by her father. That film also involved her stepmother, Dawn Laurel-Jones, who worked as the stills photographer.
In addition to her film roles, Victoria appeared in one episode of the popular teen drama One Tree Hill in 2003.
Tommy Lee Jones is a highly respected actor with a long career in film. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for The Fugitive. Over the years, he has also starred in major films such as JFK, No Country for Old Men, and Lincoln.
More details about Victoria’s death have not yet been released.
