Taylor Swift Text Allegedly Calls Justin Baldoni a “Bitch” as Blake Lively Lawsuit Nears Trial

New court filings in Blake Lively’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni have revealed alleged private text messages involving Taylor Swift, adding another high-profile layer to a case already drawing intense public scrutiny.

According to a letter filed Tuesday, Jan. 20, by Lively’s legal team to U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman, excerpts of alleged texts between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively were included as part of the response to Justin Baldoni’s motion for summary judgment. The case is scheduled to go to trial in May.

Alleged December 2024 Messages

In one message dated early December 2024, Swift allegedly referred to Baldoni as “this bitch,” writing:

“I think this bitch knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.”

Lively’s attorneys do not dispute that the quoted language appears in the cited material, but strongly contest the interpretation put forward by Baldoni’s legal team. Specifically, they deny that the messages show Swift and Lively privately discussing a forthcoming The New York Times article that later reported on the dispute when it was published on Dec. 21, 2024.

Script Dispute Claims Challenged

Baldoni’s lawyers further allege that Lively asked Swift to endorse a revised script draft “even without having read it,” while Baldoni was present in Lively’s home. Swift allegedly replied, “I’ll do anything for you!!”

Lively’s legal team rejected the claim, stating Swift did not “agree to do Lively’s bidding,” did not meet with Baldoni, and did not endorse any revised script.
“Lively respectfully refers the Court to the cited source for its complete contents and disputes any summary or interpretation inconsistent therewith,” the filing states.

“Dragons” and Friendship Fallout

Additional alleged messages show Lively praising Swift afterward, calling her “so epically heroic” and saying she recounted the encounter to her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

In earlier filings from Baldoni’s now-dismissed January 2025 countersuit, Lively allegedly described Swift and Reynolds as her “dragons” — a Game of Thrones reference — suggesting they fiercely defend her.

Sources previously said the long-standing friendship between Swift and Lively became more complicated amid Lively’s accusations that Baldoni engaged in sexual harassment and retaliation, allegations he has denied.

Swift Distances Herself From the Film

When Baldoni’s team attempted to subpoena Swift in May 2025, her representative issued a firm statement distancing the singer from It Ends With Us.

“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions,” the spokesperson said, adding that Swift’s sole connection was licensing one song, “My Tears Ricochet,” along with 19 other artists.

The rep accused Baldoni’s team of using Swift’s name to generate “tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”

Baldoni Awaits Trial

In June 2025, Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman told TMZ that his client “wants to be vindicated” and is waiting for his day in court.
“He knows who he is. He knows what he’s done. He knows what he hasn’t done. And he wants the truth to come out,” Freedman said.

As the trial approaches, the newly surfaced alleged texts underscore how deeply intertwined celebrity relationships, private communications, and public legal battles have become — with one of the world’s biggest pop stars now unexpectedly pulled into the spotlight.
