On Wednesday night, December 31, the 46-year-old singer shared a selfie from her hospital bed on Instagram. She revealed that she was undergoing neck surgery and was “getting two new shiny discs” placed in her neck.
In a long and emotional New Year’s message, Pink reflected on the highs and lows of the past year. She said she was ready to say goodbye to what she called a difficult 2025 and welcome a fresh start.
Pink wrote that the year had been tough for many people, ranging from “absolutely devastating to mildly annoying,” but she also found beauty in everyday life. She spoke about loving her children, supporting their dreams, and embracing life’s messy moments — from laughter and dancing to crying and forgiving.
The singer also opened up about personal loss and growth. She shared that she had said goodbye to important people, welcomed new ones into her life, and experienced both dreams and nightmares during the year.
Ending 2025 in a hospital room, Pink said she is focusing on taking care of her body. While she joked that the surgery was “not a fancy facelift,” she described it as a reminder to appreciate her body and use it well. “Rock ’n’ roll is a contact sport,” she wrote, acknowledging the physical toll of her career.
Although her family was away snowboarding while she spent New Year’s Eve alone in the hospital, Pink said she believes 2026 will be better because she has chosen to make it so. She also expressed compassion for those who don’t always have the same choices and said she wants to help protect others’ ability to make decisions for themselves and their families.
Pink ended her message on a powerful note, saying she is choosing joy, positive thoughts, and self-care. She vowed to keep fighting through dark moments, reclaim her wild spirit, and continue searching for the light.
“Happy New Year,” she wrote, wishing everyone more joy than sorrow, more love than hate, and the strength to move forward into 2026 with hope.
