Paul Rudd Laughs Off Very Personal Joke in Wildly Awkward Podcast Interview

Paul Rudd is known for his charm and quick wit, but his latest interview took an unexpectedly intimate turn.

During a recent appearance on Take Your Shoes Off w/ Rick Glassman, host Rick Glassman stunned listeners by telling the Marvel star that he had noticed — and was impressed by — Rudd’s anatomy.

“I didn’t realize that you even saw my penis,” Rudd replied calmly, instantly turning the moment into comedy.

Given the pair’s history of elaborate jokes on the podcast, it was hard to tell how serious Glassman was being. Their last viral encounter certainly set the tone.

The Viral Bit That Started It All

In a previous episode, Michael Cera appeared as a fake assistant who spilled hot coffee on Rudd’s face. The situation quickly escalated into a chaotic skit involving paramedics, blurred-out footage, and Rudd pretending to be seriously injured after his pants were removed as part of the gag.

The bit spread quickly online, prompting confusion among fans — and even a fact-check confirming Rudd was never actually harmed.

Rudd later returned to the podcast looking battered and dazed, playing along with the joke as Glassman questioned him about the severity of his “injuries.”

Back to the Awkward Compliments

In their newest conversation, Glassman circled back to what he claimed he saw during that chaotic moment.

“It was hard to miss,” Glassman said, adding that Rudd’s anatomy stood out “even when it’s soft.”

Rudd laughed it off and thanked him, but Glassman pushed further, asking whether Rudd thought people were aware of his size.

The actor said he’s never appeared nude on screen, explaining that he’s a fairly private person. “I don’t want to be just wagging my d--- all over the place,” he joked.

When asked when he first realized he was well-endowed, Rudd said it was probably in junior high — and that it mostly made him feel embarrassed and self-conscious, especially in locker rooms.

What Rudd Is Up to Now

Despite the very personal detour, Rudd’s career is as busy as ever. He’s currently starring in the comedy Anaconda, alongside Jack Black, which is now playing in theaters.

Fans will also see him return as Ant-Man in Avengers: Doomsday, set for release on December 18.

Awkward jokes aside, Rudd once again proved that when things get weird, he knows exactly how to keep his cool — and get a laugh.
