In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, the 55-year-old journalist did not hold back when asked about her least favorite famous faces. The first name that came to her mind was Jane Fonda.
Kelly recalled a 2017 interview with the veteran actress, saying Fonda appeared offended when questions about plastic surgery came up. According to Kelly, the topic was only raised because she had been advised to avoid discussing sex scenes, as Fonda’s Our Souls at Night co-star Robert Redford was reportedly uncomfortable with that subject.
Kelly also spoke critically about Bruce Willis, describing him as “ungiving” and “ungenerous” during a 2006 Fox News interview. She added that she felt uneasy sharing the story, acknowledging that Willis is currently struggling with frontotemporal dementia. Still, she claimed he seemed unhappy to be there and questioned why he agreed to the interview at all.
While Kelly mentioned Al Roker as someone she dislikes, she did not give specific details. Instead, she made a joking comparison, suggesting her mother would strongly avoid him if they ever crossed paths.
Kelly was more direct when discussing Ellen DeGeneres. She claimed a close family member had a negative experience working as a producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. According to Kelly, staff members were allegedly told not to make eye contact with the host if they passed her in the hallway. Kelly said she was not surprised when bullying allegations against DeGeneres later surfaced in 2020.
Despite the criticism, Kelly also shared positive words for a few stars. She described Russell Brand as “warm” and Kathie Lee Gifford as “nice.”
She also praised Jada Pinkett Smith, saying she finds her “sweet, sincere, and genuine.”
Kelly’s comments quickly grabbed attention, offering a blunt look at her personal experiences with some of Hollywood’s biggest names — both good and bad.
