The upcoming release will be BTS’s first album in nearly four years. Their last group album, Proof, came out in June 2022 before the members began pausing group activities for mandatory military service.
Fans had already started buzzing about a comeback earlier this year after handwritten letters arrived at fans’ homes. The letters thanked supporters for staying loyal and were stamped with the date 2026.03.20, fueling speculation that something big was coming.
BigHit Music confirmed those hints, saying the new album will kick off a large-scale world tour.
“With the release of a new album on March 20, BTS will embark on a large-scale world tour,” the company said, adding that more details about the album and concerts will be shared later through official channels.
All seven members have now completed their military duties. Suga was the final member to be discharged, finishing his service in June 2025.
The announcement has thrilled fans worldwide, marking a full-group comeback and the start of BTS’s next chapter on the global stage.
