According to claims in The Sun, the Hope ur OK singer and the House of Guinness actor quietly called time on their romance “a few weeks ago,” leaving fans surprised by the sudden news.
A source told the publication: “They made such a lovely couple, so people who know them were shocked when they heard. It’s not been the easiest few weeks for them, and they decided it’s better to be apart for now.”
The same insider alleged that Rodrigo, 22, became emotional while speaking about the breakup at a star-studded Christmas party hosted by Lily Allen. The festive event reportedly took place at the iconic Stringfellows in London over the weekend.
“Olivia was at Lily’s party and emotional when she was talking about it,” the source claimed. “Her friends have rallied around her, but it’s just been pretty rough. It’s really sad right now.”
Neither Rodrigo nor Partridge has publicly confirmed or denied that they have split.
A Relationship Largely Kept Out of the Spotlight
The couple were first linked in 2023 and quickly became a fan favourite, though both tried to keep their relationship low-key. In September, Partridge said he could “handle” being known as Rodrigo’s boyfriend, joking about the attention while insisting they were both happy.
Earlier this year, the actor opened up about the pressures of public relationships, saying he preferred to keep his love life private and acknowledging that the scrutiny was far tougher for Rodrigo than for him.
Despite their efforts to stay out of the headlines, the pair were still spotted together at several high-profile events. They enjoyed a romantic date night at the Venice Film Festival in 2024, attended Glastonbury and Wimbledon over the summer, and most recently appeared together at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles in October.
For now, fans will have to wait and see whether the former couple address the reports themselves. As things stand, those close to them say it’s simply a difficult moment for two young stars navigating life — and love — in the public eye.
