D4vd Could Face Murder Charges as Grand Jury Moves Toward Possible Indictment

Singer D4vd may soon be facing murder charges in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas, according to sources familiar with the case.

Although earlier reports suggested the grand jury reviewing the matter was purely investigative — meaning it could gather evidence but not issue charges — sources now say that is not the case. The grand jury currently hearing testimony is expected to vote on whether to hand down an indictment.

Multiple sources tell TMZ that prosecutors believe D4vd was involved in Rivas’ death. Authorities, including prosecutor Beth Silverman, are said to be pushing forward with the case and laying the groundwork for potential charges.

Earlier this month, D4vd’s day-to-day manager, Robert Morgenroth, testified before the grand jury for several days. According to sources, tensions ran high outside the courtroom. Morgenroth reportedly told his attorney that Silverman pressed him aggressively on why he did not contact police. He allegedly responded that it was not his responsibility and that his role was to keep D4vd’s tour running.

Grand juries often side with prosecutors, largely because the person under scrutiny does not have the right to present a defense or challenge evidence during the proceedings. That dynamic can make indictments more likely once prosecutors signal they want charges.

That said, a decision may not come quickly. Sources say the grand jury could continue hearing witnesses into February, meaning any indictment could still be weeks away.

For now, no charges have been formally filed against D4vd, but the direction of the case suggests legal trouble could be looming.
