The group announced a special livestreamed concert and a feature-length documentary, both coming to Netflix through a partnership with HYBE.
A Historic Live Performance
BTS will headline a global live event titled “BTS the Comeback Live | Arirang” on March 21, streaming worldwide on Netflix at 4 a.m. PT / 7 a.m. ET. The concert will take place at Seoul’s historic Gwanghwamun Square, just one day after the release of their new album, Arirang.
The show will be directed by Hamish Hamilton, known for directing Super Bowl Halftime Shows since 2010. The performance also marks a major milestone: it will be the first live event broadcast from South Korea to be livestreamed globally.
New Documentary: BTS: The Return
One week later, on March 27, Netflix will release the documentary “BTS: The Return.” Directed by Bao Nguyen, the film follows the seven members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook — as they reunite in Los Angeles after their hiatus.
According to the press release, the documentary captures the group as they create music that reflects who they are today, leading up to what is described as a landmark album in their career.
First Album Since 2022
Arirang is BTS’ first new album since 2022’s Proof. After that release, the group paused activities while members completed South Korea’s mandatory military service and focused on solo projects.
World Tour on the Way
The comeback doesn’t stop there. Just last month, BTS revealed plans for a massive global tour spanning 2026 and 2027. The tour will include 79 shows across 34 cities, beginning with three hometown concerts in Goyang, South Korea on April 9 and April 11–12, before moving on to Tokyo and then North America.
For fans around the world, BTS’ return signals the start of a new era — bigger, louder, and more global than ever.
