The One Tree Hill actor, 42, confirmed that he and his wife, Megan Park, have ended their marriage after a decade together. Hilton shared the update in a statement posted on Instagram on Friday, Jan. 16, addressing growing online speculation about their relationship.
“A Life Update: I’ve never been super comfortable sharing personal information about our family life, but I’ve seen enough speculation online that I thought warranted clarity,” Hilton wrote. “Some time ago, Megan and I decided to end our marriage. We continue to make the kids and co-parenting the priority. Thanks for continuing to respect our privacy.”
Park has not publicly commented on the split.
The former couple share two children: son Benny, born in 2024, and daughter Winnie, born in February 2020. They had marked their 10th wedding anniversary in October, just months before Hilton’s announcement.
Hilton and Park first met while working together on the 2007 comedy-drama Charlie Bartlett, and their personal relationship later evolved into a creative partnership. Most recently, they collaborated on the 2024 film My Old Ass, which Park wrote and directed. Hilton composed the musical score while balancing the demands of parenting.
Speaking previously to People, Hilton described their strong creative connection. “We have a shorthand,” he said. “We understand a lot of the same things. I also know what she’s looking for.” He added that Park often describes musical ideas through emotional references, citing films like My Girl and Casper, which helps him translate her vision into music.
Hilton also shared that working with Park allowed him to stay close to home. “I love scoring her stuff ’cause it keeps me home and not on the road,” he said.
While their marriage has ended, both Hilton and Park have made it clear that co-parenting and their children remain their top priority as they move forward separately.
