Will Arnett comforts Michelle Pfeiffer in first teaser for Taylor Sheridan’s ‘The Madison’

Will Arnett offers words of reassurance to a grieving Michelle Pfeiffer in the first teaser for The Madison, the upcoming drama series from creator Taylor Sheridan.

Paramount+ released the teaser on Sunday, Jan. 18, giving viewers an emotional first look at the six-episode series. In the clip, Pfeiffer’s character, Stacy Clyburn, is seen crying before lowering herself into a body of water. She later tells Arnett’s character — New York City-based therapist Phil Yorn — that her “center” and “soul” are gone.

“You will heal,” Arnett says gently. “If you let yourself.”

The teaser also introduces Kurt Russell as Preston Clyburn, who shares quiet, intimate moments with Stacy. Another scene shows him fishing alongside Paul Clyburn, played by Matthew Fox, as Preston reflects on aging and regret. “What do I have? Before I’m too old to do anything more than just remember,” he asks.

Set in Montana, The Madison follows the Clyburn family, New York City transplants trying to rebuild their lives in the Madison River valley. According to Paramount+, the series is “a profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation.” The show moves between two worlds — the sweeping landscapes of Montana and the fast-paced energy of Manhattan — to explore grief, healing, and family bonds.

The drama stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, alongside Will Arnett, Matthew Fox and Patrick J. Adams.

The supporting cast includes Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence and Danielle Vasinova.

The Madison marks Pfeiffer’s return to television following her role in The First Lady and is Fox’s first major TV role since Lost. Pfeiffer and Russell also serve as executive producers on the series.

Additional executive producers include David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox. The series is directed by Christina Alexandra Voros.

The show joins Sheridan’s growing slate of Paramount+ originals, including Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lioness and Landman, as well as the upcoming CBS drama Marshals.

The Madison season 1 premieres Saturday, March 14, exclusively on Paramount+.
